Flight Test Updates

  • Proof of flight for X500 and Peggy 2 completed

Task 1

  • STATUS: Autonomy Updates:

  • STATUS: Peggy 2 Tuning

    • Flew very stable still with extra pumps, does not seem to need adjustment to tune

      • validated for power and just missing one IC (killswitch)

  • What Drones are we flying for task 1:

      • X500 → RPI 5 + interface → 10 mins flight time

      • Cali Drone (Francis) → RPI Zero → 45 mins flight time

    • Justification discussed last meeting.

    • is it similar to peggy 2?

  • STATUS: EFS CAN Lighting Board

    • Flew successfully last flight test! Mounted on x500

      • Were able to port to secondary CAN driver so it can run seamlessly in current configuration.

    • REV4 port should be done by next FT@Nick Armstrong !!!

    • Less bright than ideal, can be increased as those developing them didn’t want to get blinded

    • We have five weeks left until competition.

    • Avoid changes and high risk operations in the couple of days leading up to competition as we need time to make fixes
