• @Wingchee W Which sponsorship proposals need to be completed this term?

  • WEEF: Waiting for Wishlist items to be added to the confluence. Got all teams except Ops (If we do want anything). I can start making Powerpoint. Deadline March 4!

  • EngSoc : no finalized dates and instructions yet. But they''ll start accepting sponsorship proposals sometime in mid Feb . And can see the spreadsheet of what other teams got funding for for inspo.

  • MEF : proposal submission (Feb 5 to Mar 1), proposal presentation (week of March 4). Dates added to gcal .

  • Let’s try not to send them an email asking if it’s due at 12am or 11:59pm cuz it can give them a bad impression.

• WEEF deadlines:

  • March 3rd for WEEF Proposal Submission

• @Wingchee W Made a spreadsheet with sub-team wish list items for the term

  • sub-team leads adding items onto the confluence: Due by Friday, February 2nd

• Old sponsorship stuff that contained good contact infos - initially put it in the financial ledger (for convenience) when we switched from google drive to one drive. Then, I moved this info over to the new spreadsheet that contains the list of current sponsors in the 2023-2024 comp cycle. I also reflected this change by taking out the word “sponsor” from the financial ledger spreadsheet title and updated the internal purchase protocol with the title change.

• Might be a good idea to discuss if Ops wants anything this semester. WEEF likes non-perishable things. I recall that WEEF doesn’t give $ for software licenses like Photoshop

• @Prentice Hui will be leading some sponsorship updates once the package is completed

  • Take a look at this Sponsorship Email Templates

    • Request from mechanical to find a carbon fibre sponsor

    • Draft an email for this

    • Start doing research on potential companies

@Jerry Tian Keysight replied to my Electronic Load sponsorship email, they are struggling financially for Q1 so no sponsorship for now. I replied the email saying thanks for the update. Will ask again in Mid March (before Q2)
