  • Following up on onboarding: Electrical progress on bootcamp, mech progress on onboarding package. Any feedback on how onboarding packages are performing? Are we getting enough new joiners?

  • Hiring co-ops, was briefly mentioned in #integration-leads, any team interested in hiring co-ops for fall (fw was mentioned)? If so, hiring teams need to plan out a project and we need to select an on-site, >=3A member to be the co-op supervisor on paper. Ray was in W22.

Onboarding

  • EE bootcamp has been released

    • A few final things but days away

  • FW Onboarding revamp

    • More people showing interest

    • More engagement with mentors

    • Still taking a while to get the bootcamp started

      • Anni has been tailoring the bootcamp based on the interest of the individual

        • EX: low-level person does the SPI driver

        • Trying to get them doing what they’re interested in

  • Mech

    • Last person onboarded was Julian, only thing not setup was GrabCAD

    • In terms of bootcamp not experiencing issues, in talks with people

    • Will be assigning a new mentor

  • CV onboarding

    • New PR merged, new Venv is making onboarding smoother

    • VENV was the bad part but now that it’s updated we’re gucci

    • Have been trying out the mentorship stuff, will try next time

  • Operations

    • Ops is glad to hear new recruits are coming on

    • Enough people to do the tasks that are on ops’s plate atm
